Crunchy croissant hack najnoviji je gastro hit s TikToka – i savršen je za nedjeljno jutro

Jedan od najpoznatijih i najomiljenijih pekarskih proizvoda već je stotinama godina kroasan. Mekano tijesto blagog okusa maslaca s hrskavom koricom i slojevitom teksturom te prepoznatljivim oblikom polumjeseca, kroasane čine neodoljivom delicijom bez koje ne možemo zamisliti jutra. Volimo ih punjene čokoladom, marmeladom, raznim kremama ili prazne, a od njih često radimo i sendviče.

U posljednjih nekoliko godina s oduševljenjem smo prihvatili i nekoliko kreativnih interpretacija kroasana poput cruffina i okruglih kroasana. Najnovija globalna pomama trenutno je crunchy kroasan koji se pojavio, a gdje drugdje nego na društvenim mrežama.

Ako ste na TikToku, postoji velika vjerojatnost da ste i sami naletjeli na ovaj viralni recept s kroasanom u glavnoj ulozi. A ako niste, evo o čemu se radi.

Kroasane, između ostalog, volimo upravo zbog njihove hrskave korice, a s ovim receptom ona će biti još hrskavija. Uostalom, zato je i nazvan crunchy croissant hack. Kupljeni kroasan star dan ili dva potrebno je prvo izravnati valjkom za tijesto kako biste od njega napravili ‘palačinku’. Zatim ga zapečete na maslacu i prelijete s malo meda. Dobit ćete karamelizirani, hrskavi, ‘ravan’ kroasan.

Have you tried the VIRAL CROISSANT HACK? Recipe ⬇️ INGREDIENTS 1 Croissant 1 tbsp Honey 1 4 oz. Burrata Ball (or less) 2 Prosciutto slices ¼ cup Pistachios 1 tsp Butter Olive Oil Salt INSTRUCTIONS 1. “Smash” the croissant with a roller. 2. Melt butter in a pan and lay the croissant. 3. Layer honey on the croissant and flip. 4. Lay a piece of parchment paper over and press down with a weighted pan. 5. Wait until the honey has caramelized, flip and repeat on the other side 6. Let the croissant cool for 1-2 minutes or until honey has hardened. 7. Layer with burrata, olive oil, salt, pistachios, and prosciutto. Enjoy! NOTE: we piled on the burrata on this one, but feel free to only use half a ball.

Ono najbolje od svega je što ovakav crunchy kroasan možete nadjenuti čime god poželite, bilo to slatko ili slano. Ukoliko se odlučite za slanu verziju, ‘izravnajte’ odmah dva kroasana pa od njih napravite sendvič punjen pršutom i burratom.

I know, I know….the things I do for recipe research! Today I made a Crunchy Candied Croissant Ice Cream Sandwich 🥐 After seeing a viral video of this creation circulating Instagram I had to try it myself. Admittedly It felt so wrong to squish a freshly baked croissant, but It tasted quite lovely, If not a little sweet. Sort of reminded me of a palmier. Upon reflection, I will continue to enjoy my croissants the traditional way, and that is for breakfast with a lovely cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
